Dr Martens Spring 2011 Preview

Oh Docs… how I love thee… let me count the ways:

For a company that’s been putting out the same style of boot for 50 years – they sure know how to keep things interesting. They’ve done a wide range of colors, and finishes, collaborated with tastemakers, trendsetters, and even high fashion designers. But this spring, they’re taking it to a new level. The Spring 2011 preview begun at 830am and lasted until 7pm at the new flagship store on the ever so hip Queen West in downtown Toronto.

Wine – white or red – was passed around to help wash down the finger food that included the likes of sushi and roast beef. The store, teeming with bloggers and press, browsed around to find their perfect pair. Along with a USB key in the shape of Doc Marten boot, each guest received a voucher for a free pair of boots.

Again – let me count the ways.

The trusted boot is evolving in style at the perfect rate. Ladies can step it up (literally) with a pair of heeled boots, and the gents are offered limited edition styles that reek of cool. The spring collection does even more.

A wide range of patterned boots made the preview a delight for the eyes – and definitely got my heart racing. Pony hair zebra print, leopard, florals in red and green, a cotton candy pink pastel and a mint candy apple – all were available in a range from shoe to full on boot. Which Doc will you rock?
