Is it just me or is anybody else getting tired of these “twitter beefs?”
When I think of the twitter logo, you know that sweet lovable blue bird… I think of the biggest instigator since Don King (fight promoter). From big heavyweight fights (celebrities) to the preliminary fights, those are the fights before the big fight that no one really cares about (the general public). Twitter has been known to be used to add fuel to some heated arguments. Ray J vs. Fab, Chris Brown (C.B) vs. Rihanna, C.B vs. Drake, matter of fact C.B vs. Everyone!!! Seriously though, whether fan defending a star or star vs. star, I think its way out of hand.
It’s to the point that someone actually died from a twitter beef!!? C’mon son (Ed Lover voice).
It all started over a beef between 2 west coast local rappers Boskoe1 and Ice Burgandy. Words were exchanged over twitter, but Boskoe1 took it a little further and dissed Ice Burgandy’s crew. Well one of the crew members (Rosemo700) took offense to Boskoe1′s comments over twitter, and decided to do something about it. Rosemo700 decided to film and brag about himself and his boys and how they are looking to beat up Boskoe1. So they found him and you see on the video Boskoe1 getting beat up, because one of Boskoe1′s friends told him to meet him at a park (basically got set up). Long story short, a couple of days after that Rosemo700 was gunned down and killed. Whatever they were beefing about, could it really have been that serious that Rosemo won’t be seeing his friends and family again? Boskoe1 in 140 characters max, said something that got him to Rosemo to the point of wanting to retaliate?
I don’t understand why people need to always try to be tough, you could swear by the trash talking you can see on the twit (got tired of writing twitter) that everyone is a thug that won’t be afraid to “regulate” the situation between them and someone else. I have realized that I am not a fighter, so the last thing I will do is provoke a fight. I am not going to stand there and square up (for those who don’t know “squaring up” with someone is getting ready to fight) over comments that were made by Ryan Seacrest over last night’s taping of American Idol (just kidding no scandal with him). If it came down to it, you would probably find me in the fetal position hitting higher octaves then Mariah Carey from back in the day. Now you may laugh and that is fine but I can tell half the people who get in these fights are not cut out for it. They were better off keeping their mouth shut. Too many people’s fingers typing away, saying all kind of wild and reckless things and then can’t back it up. Then you get called out because of your comments. Put it like this, if you don’t have coconuts to say it to the person’s face, maybe you should then keep your comments to yourself.
I know we as the public have access to artist, movie stars, and sports figures because of social networks like Twit that give us access 24/7. Remember though, just because you “follow” someone that doesn’t mean they know who you are. You could be out in the streets fighting for someone who has no idea who you are.
And finally to the general public who believe they have to be all tough and at a drop of a dime have everyone pulling out their cameras to watch you fight, 9 times out of 10 over something that in 10 years will have you shaking your head like what was I thinking. Don’t let the blue bird win!!
