iPad: Apple’s Missing Link?
A 9.6inch screen; 1.5lbs in weight; 0.5inch in thickness; a 1GHz Apple A4 processor; up to 64GB flash memory. Wifi, 3G, 10hr battery life, 1 month stand-by, and 140k apps all ready to go. A price tag of $829 USD.
The iPad is toted by Apple as the missing link between mobile devices and laptops. With a device makes the notebook community futile, the iPad will have to prove itself as more than just an expensive book reader. It does looks pretty convincing. Other than the price that is more than an entry level MacBook, it may turn away users.
They’ve also secured 5 major book distributors who will be porting over content to the iPad. Securing basically one of the only missing links in their trifecta, Apple will more than likely crush the rest of the e-book market with the iPad.
Apple has also secured a unlimited data packages with AT&T and supposedly carriers globally for half the price of most data packages.
In you’re opinion, what’s missing from the iPad before you drop your cash?
