Wow, it feels good to be back. I have been on vacation (basically) these past 2 weeks and have been neglecting my musical duties. As previously mentioned, I was living it up in the NYC heat. Now that I am back home in good old MTL, I am reflecting on the differences between the two cities. One thing I really adore about Montreal is just how European it is, we have some of the most beautiful architecture I’ve ever seen. I also don’t feel inundated by city life or bombarded by traffic like I do in NYC. However, I have to admit that I would like a bit of both. I love the hustle and bustle of Manhattan but I also love that our houses have backyards and that children can play ball hockey outside safely. Montreal just doesn’t feel like home anymore and that it is high time that I test some other waters. Australia? San Fran? NYC? Who knows…but change is in the air! What do YOU think?
Let me introduce Russ Chimes. He is a producer, remixer and DJ based in London. He has remixed for Mark Ronson, Booka Shade, Kelis, Marina & The Diamonds and golden girl Ellie Goulding (see below).
About a month and a half ago my boyfriend introduced me to the Midnight Club EP by Russ Chimes. This EP was released along with a 3-part short film (directed by SXSW director Saman Keshavarz) and has over 1,000,000 combined video views. Get ready, your minds are about to be blown. This is an emotional roller coaster of amazingness.
