Respect The Architects Video
It’s always cool to see the thought processes that went into the design of a familiar product, and the influences and story behind it. “Respect The Architects” – The Paris Air Max 1 Story is an interview with Nike designer Tinker Hatfield. This is the man behind the first Air Max with the visible air pocket, among other highly-recognizable Nike sneakers. An architect at Nike (yes, Nike needs architects) for four years before being asked to design shoes, Hatfield recounts how the design of the Nike Air Max was influenced by the Centre Georges Pompidou in Paris. Sneakerheads and fans of architecture and design shouldn’t miss out on this video from Paris director and producer Thibaut de Longeville.
